Tim Walker was born in England in 1970 and started taking pictures as a young boy. He was inspired by Cecil Beaton's work, which he discovered while working at the Condé Nast Library in London. He studied photography at Exeter College of Art and then moved to New York, where he worked as an assistant to Richard Avedon. He shot his first story for British Vogue at the age of 25 and since then he has worked for Vogue, Vanity Fair, W, LOVE, Another Man and i-D. He has also published seven books and staged solo exhibitions at major museums.
