This winter, there has been a surge of interest in enjoying the holidays and New Year at SkiStar's locations. With December's frigid temperatures, SkiStar has made a lot of snow, guaranteeing a long and snowy winter. Trysil and Hemsedal have recently received significant snowfall from nature, and more is on the way. Survey results show that more than seven in ten visitors enjoyed their holiday stay.
"It's been wonderful to have so many visitors over the Christmas and New Year's holidays. On December 30, we had almost 7,500 people at the alpine resort in Hemsedal, which was an "all-time high" for that day. It demonstrates that many people, despite tough circumstances and a problematic climate, prioritize trips to the mountains and alpine skiing ". This is what Andreas Smith-Erichsen, the destination manager at SkiStar Hemsedal, has to say.
Trysil almost had a record-breaking day on December 27, with 10,381 patrons coming through the doors. Only 94 fewer people attended than the all-time high in 2019.
Several of our ski areas have been getting a lot of snow recently. Hemsedal has received over 92 centimeters and Trysil over 42 centimeters of the fine, light new snow that has fallen recently.
"The weather has been perfect for artificial snowmaking, and we've also got a good amount of natural snow. In sum, this ensures our guests have access to excellent alpine skiing. 7 out of 10 respondents to our most recent guest survey agree that their time with us on the mountain was one of the best of their lives. We are all set for a beautiful winter season full of events, activities, and good times" SkiStar Trysil's destination manager, Gudrun Sanaker Lohne, adds.
SkiStar maintains the season with many events and activities in January and February, following the first part of the winter and the intense peak season. With events like the ever-popular SkiStar Winter Games and special winter weeks in which kids under the age of six skis for free and get a free ski pass, ski rental, ski school, Valle has something for everyone.
A winter break begins in the middle of February and is completely scheduled. Most notably among the many family groups who decide to include our places for their winter vacations. @via SkiStar.
