Limited-Edition BMW Shooting Brake Debuts with V8 Power and Exclusive Coach-Built Design
BMW has officially revealed the 2025 BMW Speedtop Concept, a three-door, limited-production shooting brake developed by the brand’s coachbuilt division, BMW Designworks. Intended as a collector’s edition vehicle with a strict production cap of 70 units, the Speedtop Concept is a bold return to handcrafted exclusivity rooted in the Bavarian automaker’s historical design language.
With an estimated price tag of $500,000 USD, the BMW Speedtop is not a volume model. Instead, it's a targeted move toward a niche audience of global enthusiasts who demand heritage styling, modern performance, and unparalleled rarity.
Exterior Design: Long Hood, Low Roof, Wide Stance
The 2025 BMW Speedtop Concept stretches approximately 5 meters in length (197 inches), 2 meters in width (79 inches), and sits low at 1.36 meters in height (53.5 inches). The vehicle’s proportions are heavily inspired by iconic BMW coupes such as the BMW 503 and BMW Z3 Coupe, but with the functional cargo area of a shooting brake.
- Shark-nose front fascia with ultra-slim LED headlights
- Vertical air intakes for optimized aerodynamics
- Backlit kidney grille with fiber-optic lighting
- Color gradient roof from Floating Sunstone Maroon to Floating Sundown Silver
- 14-spoke bi-tone alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires
- Minimalist surface treatment with hidden door handles
This is a coachbuilt BMW with proportions and finishes not achievable on a mass-production line. Everything from panel gaps to paint layering is finished by hand.
Interior: Luxury Tailored for Exclusivity
The interior of the BMW Speedtop Concept is a two-seat configuration, emphasizing driving over passenger practicality. Every surface has been designed with attention to bespoke detailing, crafted in Italy by Schedoni.
- Two-tone leather upholstery in Sundown Maroon and Moonstone White
- Brogue-style perforations and contrast stitching
- Aluminum trim accents across the dash and center console
- Schedoni luggage set designed to fit the rear storage area
- Hidden digital instrument cluster
- M-style steering wheel with vehicle controls
The cabin is focused on driver engagement and design clarity, avoiding tech overload and unnecessary amenities.
